Another cracking book from Sean Hellman.

This book, The Spoon Horse and other Small Shaves, is an extension of his earlier work, Shaving Horses, Lap Shaves and Other Woodland Vices. It has come about after several years using a variety of traditional designs and adapting these to suit his own craft practice. The Spoon Horse has now replaced the role of my larger shaving horse, when he works on smaller items. The Bench Horse is also a valuable resource in the workshop.

Reflecting on design matters, Sean felt strongly that these smaller, sometimes more conveniently assembled seated vices are of greater advantage to green woodworkers who make spoons, fanbirds, pegs and other small items, than he had previously explored.

The Spoon Horse and other Small Shaves offers detailed plans, diagrams and clear working guidance for making the Spoon Horse, Bench Horse, and the Rope Horse, plus it provides instructions for additional features and modifications.
